We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant, to join our collaborative academy, which is dedicated to developing a great team which is centred around respect. The role will give the candidate an opportunity to experience all aspects of school life, working with children in class, and outside in formal lessons and in more informal scenarios.

St Michael’s CofE Primary Academy is a larger than average, primary school, located in Heavitree, Exeter and has been part of the local community for over 140 years. It is oversubscribed and is currently full with 420 pupils.  The school is inclusive and as such, welcomes children with a range of needs and from a variety of backgrounds.  This leads to an active learning environment, catering for diverse cohorts whilst ensuring high standards.  There is a strong team culture with staff working closely with each other for the benefit of all the children.  Through established and embedded values, St Michael’s children are not only excellent learners, they are also first-class citizens, helping to make the world a better place for all. It is part of St Christopher’s Trust which comprises of 21 schools.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
