Are you passionate about providing children with a safe and structured mealtime where they can eat and play with their friends. If this sounds like you then St Michael’s Primary Academy is looking for two Mealtime Assistants to join their team. We are looking for caring individuals who can lead play, interact with the children and undertake the responsibility of supervising and ensuring the safety of the children at all times.

The main duties of the role are:

· Set up the dining hall

· To set up and lead play activities in the playground.

· Supervision of all pupils during their mealtime and organising the dinner queue

· To co-ordinate play for pupils.

· To assist with the well-being of pupils during lunchtime.

· To support the supervision of children during lunch and play, using your initiative to ensure caring quality provision is continuously made.

Experience of working with children is not essential, just the passion to help improve the life chances of children within a school environment whilst being prepared to work inside and outside in all weathers.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Y4 teacher to cover maternity leave, to become part of our teaching team helping us to achieve our mission to ‘Enrich Lives Every Day’. We are looking for someone who can develop strong, positive relationships that inspire children to be the best they can be academically, personally, socially and spiritually. You will work as part of a team, under the direction of the phase lead, Headteacher and the Deputy Head, to ensure all children are receiving the best possible education to reach their full potential.

St Michael’s CofE Primary Academy is a larger than average, primary school, located in Heavitree, Exeter. It is part of St Christopher’s Trust which comprises of 21 schools across the county.  St Michael’s has enjoyed an excellent reputation for serving the local community for over 140 years.
